Resorna till Uganda är i första hand för fiskeintresserade. Men naturligtvis skall ni ha lite safari inlagt om ni tycker ni har tid över, varför inte ett exklusivt gorilla safari när ni ändå är i Uganda gorillornas land. Det går ju inte att undgå när man är i Afrika.
Fisket finns dels i Victoriasjön, trollingfiske. Men framförallt i Nilen nedströms Murtchison falls, det är där de riktigt stora nilabborrarna huserar, att få på en nilaborre på vikter upp emot 90 kilo är väl en dröm som många storfiskare bara fantiserat om, men här kan det bli verklighet.
Resorna finnas i flera kategorier, ni väljer det som passar er bäst.
1. Wildlife Fishing safari: Ett kombinationsfiske med fiske i både Victoriasjön och i Nilen. Ett koncept med mycket tältning och wildlife, den här resan är för den lite tuffare resenären.
2. Uganda Murchison falls: Ett liknande alternativ med fiske under hela vistelsen i Nilen, även här är det tältning och wildlife för den tuffe resenären.

In Autumn, in the end of September, we head to Brora. We fish for salmon and trout, and hunt for Deer.

NORTH ESK
The stretches that we fish in combine for a 4 kilometer stretch which contains several wonderful pools of varying types. Over the past years, North Esk has emerged as Scotland's number one salmon river for both Spring and Autumn fishing for salmon.
THE FISHING
North Esk is one of Scotland's leading rivers in catch statistics from 1998 and onward, for both Spring and Autumn fishing. During the weeks of spring, there are always some salmon caught that weigh 15-20 kilos.
The stretches that we fish in are counted from Edzell. The Burn with pools. Loups Pool, Kitbog pool, Major pool, Pier pool, Butress pool, Sand pool and Cave pool.
Then we arrive in upper Dalhausie with Little Gannochi pool, Big Gannochi pool, Cobbles pool and Green Bank pool.
After this comes several pools in lower Dalhausie. Then there is English Maldie (private stretch for a day or so of fishing) and finally Pert, a stretch added in 2007 that offers good fishing even in low water conditions.
EQUIPMENT
During Spring fishing, flies such as Willy Gun, Tad Pole and Garry and others will work well in the river. Other flies worth mentioning that will generally work are Monroe Killer, Blue Charm, Sunrise Shadow, Black and Gold and Dee Royal. Also bring weighted tube flies as some pools are very deep.
Consider bringing some form of rapidly sinking line and leader, but do not let this discourage you from fishing with floating line. Appropriate rod length is 12-14 ft.
Spin fishing can be very effective and even necessary when the water level is abnormally low or high. For spin fishing we recommend small Rapala in silver orange, silver red, silver blue and silver black.
New since 2007: Fishing with barbless bait and max double-hook, up to and including the month of May.

Dalreavosh Lodge
You will be staying in Dalreavosh Lodge, which is located right next to the Brora river. In the right water level conditions, Brora holds plenty of middle salmon. There are several smaller lakes in the moorlands that all hold trout. No giants, but fun fishing with lighter equipment. It is not uncommon to see herds of deer during this time, and to simply be here when the heather blooms is an experience in and by itself.
Dalreavosh Lodge
You will be staying in Dalreavosh Lodge, which is located right next to the Brora river. In the right water level conditions, Brora holds plenty of middle salmon. There are several smaller lakes in the moorlands that all hold trout. No giants, but fun fishing with lighter equipment. It is not uncommon to see herds of deer during this time, and to simply be here when the heather blooms is an experience in and by itself.
You may combine salmon fishing in the river and fishing for trout in a number of lakes on the moors.
ACCOMMODATION
Guests stay in Dalreavoch Lodge, which is located only a stone's throw from the river. Here you stay in nice and fresh double rooms, with access to showers in the corridor.
After the day's fishing, dinner is enjoyed in the dining room, after which we gather over a glass of beer or whisky by the salon's open fireplace .
Balnacoil
Balnacoil Lodge right by Upper Brora. Unfortunately, the lodge has been sold, so accommodation is in Dalreavoch Lodge. We do, however, still have the fishing at our disposal.
Upper Brora is rich with salmon of all sizes. There are a couple of moorland lakes that offer a chance for fun trout fishing, but it is the salmon fishing that has made Balnacoil famous. It is not uncommon to see herds of deer during this time, and to simply be here when the heather blooms is an experience in and by itself.
If you wish, you may combine salmon fishing in the river and fishing for trout in the lakes we have at our disposal. And if you are real lucky, you may even be here for when the char rises in the hundreds.
